Introducing our MD
Steve Chaney began working within the industry in 1981 as an apprentice Fitter / Turner with Crabtree Vickers, Gateshead, UK.Upon completion of his four year apprenticeship Steve was offered the position of Coater Fitter in Crabtree’s assembly shop, a role he fulfilled for four years. During this time experience was also gained on Crabtree’s printing press products, in-house as well as at customers factories in the UK and abroad.
In 1989 Steve was offered the position of Export Sales Manager, responsible for customers in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, China and the Far East, and in 1994 Steve was promoted to General Sales Manager.
At the end of 1998 Crabtree were taken over by LTG, Germany and Steve retained his current role. In 2000 LTG decided to open Crabtree Technologies Shenzhen, China and Steve was appointed as its General Manager to set up this assembly plant in China, whilst at the same time retaining his existing UK responsibilities.
In 2003 Steve was part of a Management Buyout team that bought out Crabtree from LTG Group returning the company back to private ownership. Steve was appointed Sales Director until leaving the company in September 2005.
After a short period away from the industry, CHANEY Global Services Ltd. was set up in July 2008.
